The Ottawa Geek Market is Ottawa’s premiere festival of all things geeky. As a festival, the Geek Market provides an opportunity for patrons to celebrate their favourite geeky fandoms though shopping, entertainment, video and board gaming, and family-friendly activities such as scavenger hunts, crafts, and cosplay (wearing costumes).

The Ottawa Geek Market has also taken on tabletop gaming of all sorts. The Capital Gaming Expo (formerly Game Summit) is Eastern Ontario’s first large-scale gaming convention. The event offers a wide variety of gaming experiences and is open to all levels of gamers from all walks of life.

The Ottawa Geek Market also hosts an Ottawa Geek Garage Sale! You’ll be able to buy all sorts of geek and gaming-related items at these one-day shopping event! The event will also feature a free open video gaming and table top gaming area.

Ottawa Comiccon!!

The Ottawa Comiccon is a fan convention with focus on comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and games. It was launched in 2012. The event features comic books, toys, games, science-fiction, horror, anime, non-sport cards and collectibles. The event features special guests, artists, exhibitors and special contests. The audience includes people of all ages with multi-genre content.

CanGames

CanGames has run annually since 1977 and features gaming in both English and French and offers trophies to winners. The format of the show has varied over the years, although the core activities of RPGs, miniature games and boardgames have featured every year. The show also has a small market for attendees to buy their favourite games.
